From Illustration to Framed Print
My illustrations start life as many sketches leading to a finished gouache painting. Here is a step by step guide explaing how prints are produced, shipped and how you can frame your own.

Print
Fine Art Giclée prints are produced by a local specialist printer. Using the highest quality pigment inks and archival papers, the colours are guaranteed for a minimum of 75 years. The artwork is printed at A4 and A3 sizes with an additional white border for framing. The A4 print is 30 x 40cm, the A3 print is 40 x 60cm. Custom sizes are available on request.

Post
Prints are signed by hand then carefully rolled in acid free tissue paper before they are packaged securely in postal tubes. All prints are sent via tracked delivery.

Flatten
When your print arrives, remove it from the tube being sure to only touch the edges of the paper with clean hands. Place a weight in each corner on top of the protective tissue paper. A book or a soft edged can is ideal (here I've used tuna cans). This ensures the print will appear flat when framed.

Frame
Both my A4 and A3 prints easily slot into ready made frames. These examples are poster frames from John Lewis. This frame is suitable for an A4 print, this frame is suitable for an A3 print. If you purchase a frame elsewhere, just remember that A4 and A3 refer to the aperture size. The overall frame size will be larger than this. Alternatively, take your tube to a profressional framer for a bespoke finish.
